Maurice Kendrick

Lieutenant Maurice T. Kendrick is a second-generation Police Officer with his father being a retired Police Sergeant with the Jackson Police Department. Lt. Kendrick graduated from Forest Hill High School in 1999 and would later join the Jackson Police Department in 2004 to begin his career as a patrol officer. Through out his career with the Jackson Police Department, he would work within Precinct 4, Precinct 5, and the Robbery/Homicide Division. Lt. Kendrick would join the Byram Police Department as one of the first 25 officers hired in 2011 as a patrol officer, where he would work his way through the ranks of Field Training Officer, Detective, Patrol Sergeant, and Criminal Investigation Division Detective Sergeant. Lt. Kendrick is a member of the Metro Crisis Negotiations Team and an Internal Affairs Investigator within the Byram Police Department. Lt. Kendrick was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2023 and is currently serving as the Lieutenant of the Operations Division which include Courts and Warrants, Crime Scene, Internal Affairs, Property and Evidence, Task Force Officers and the Criminal Investigation Division.
